WWPCM02191
"Western Printing and Lithographing Co." (USA)
brand "Guild", 1930s
this brand is a mystery for me to compare with
WWPCM06312:
1. this kind of vertical string "joker" used only by B&B and never by WPC;
2. both brand made for the Quality Park in St.Paul, hometown of B&B;
3. I saw a box with a stamp of WPC;
4. series jokers and backs are typical for WPC (r016 used in other brands);
5. some backs are typical for B&B (r010, r021).
6.
d06312r04
printed with j04b+sA2 and box "Fortuna Quality"
What does it mean? Who knows?
My idea: "Assn. of American Playing Card Manufacturers" owned by
USPCC,
but non announced due to Anti Monopolistic Law (The Clayton
Antitrust Act of 1914).
