Ulrich Knupfer:
In the end of 1948 changed the name of firm of H. Schwarz from
Spielkarten-Vertrieb to Spielkartenfabrik. The cards were printed by
printing works Eduard Heinrich Gerlich. In 1950, H. Schwarz ordered
his playing cards by printing works of Fritz Fischer.
In 1953 changed the name of firm to Nuernberger Spielkartenfabrik Heinrich Schwarz &
Co.
H. Schwarz died in 1955. His firm became tookover, but the name of firm was similar.
But in ca. 1962 became cards printed never by Fritz Fischer. The new
firm-owners looked for other printing works. So they found the firm van Genechten.
Some decks were printed there, until 1967. Now has the firm
"Heinrich Schwarz & Co., Neue Nuernberger Spielkarten" a own printing works.
The new firm sign (Three Aces) is on cards since 1962
(after considered of Fritz Fischer's printing works).
Today have Carta Mundi takeover all German p.c.firms (and brandnames),
but the most decks, special for Germany become print in Altenburg.
